Basic information about the ROP Małopolska

Regional Operational Programme for Małopolska Voivodship for the years 2007-2013 is one of the 16 Regional Operational Programmes implemented in each of the voivodships. It combines the guidelines of the National Strategic Reference Frameworks and needs and aspirations of the inhabitants which result from the specificity and internal potential of Małopolska Voivodship.
The main objective of ROP Małopolska is to create conditions for economic growth and employment in Małopolska. This will be achieved mainly through infrastructure investments enhancing competitiveness, supporting innovation and IT society, and improving conditions for natural and cultural environment.
The main objective will be achieved through the implementation of the following partial objectives:
Investments implemented within the ROP Małopolska will be subsidised from the European Regional Development Fund. The budget of the ROP Małopolska projects that Małopolska will receive is € 1.29 billion, which constitutes 7.77% of the money earmarked for the implementation of the 16 Regional Operational Programmes. The money guaranteed within the ROP for Małopolska Voivodship for 2007-2013 will be allocated for investments implemented in such fields as: IT society, entrepreneurship, tourism, culture, regional infrastructure including transport and road infrastructure, Kraków Metropolitan Area (KMA), health protection, development of cities and villages, environmental protection and inter-regional cooperation.
The fields have been categorised in eight priority axes:
