This also applies to passengers flying with carry-on luggage only and holding a valid boarding card printed in advance.

Air Traffic Control
Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) in Kraków consist of:
  • Kraków Ground Team for Approach and Airport Control (ARJT KK)
  • Kraków Ground Technological Department (ATT KK)
  • Kraków Ground Team for Radiolocation (ATTT KK)
  • Kraków Aviation Information Department (APIB KK)
  • Kraków Air Information Department (ARIZ KK)
The Kraków Ground Team for Approach and Airport Control fulfils its statutory duties within the scope of control of the area within 27 kilometres of the airport, up to an altitude of 7,300 metres and works within a field of strict coordination with the FIR Warsaw Area Control Centre, ACC Prague and ACC Bratislava.

The flight control tower at Kraków Airport is situated in the central part of the airport about 500 metres to the south of the runway.

Air traffic services in Kraków use British MARCONI SRE and ASR radar which is composed of a primary and a secondary radar.

The Approach Control Services APP Kraków function within 130 kilometres of the airport in Kraków. The secondary radar provides information concerning air space up to 450 kilometres away. Radio communication is provided by modern ROHDE & SCHWARTZ 200 system. Moreover, Kraków Airport is equipped with VAISALA, a modern system of meteorological protection, and the UHER Company’s ATIS system. Kraków Airport also operates ILS, a precise landing system. Meteorological protection is ensured by IM and GW, which is the Airport Meteorological Office situated at the airport in Kraków.
