Checked luggage

The checked luggage allowance depends on the airline running your flight and on the continent you are flying to, and is stated either in kilograms or by an itemised system.

In Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America., Australia and Oceania the weight system applies and allows for free carriage of 1 item of luggage, the maximum weight of which depends on the service class of your flight ticket.

If you’re travelling:
Class	Allowance
First	40 kilos (88 pounds)
Business	30 kilos (66 pounds)
Economy	20 kilos (44 pounds)

Children under 2 years of age without their own seats are allowed 1 luggage item of maximum 10 kilos (22 pounds).

If you’re travelling to North America you’re also subject to an itemised system, allowing for the carriage of 2 items of luggage whose weight and dimensions also depend on the class of your fight ticket.

If you’re travelling:

Children under 2 years of age without their own seats are allowed 1 luggage item of maximum 10 kilos (22 pounds) and total dimension of 115cm.

As far as domestic flights are concerned, luggage may not exceed 20 kilos.

On arriving at the airport, please start queuing at the check-in desk. After check-in of your normal luggage, the luggage service will take your oversize luggage to the appropriate desk – Check-In Desk No. 34. At this desk, the luggage check-in will be completed.

Bicycles
If you intend to carry a bicycle you must remember to prepare it for transport first: remove the handle-bars, deflate the tyres and securely attach the pedals.

Diving Equipment
Remember that you are allowed to carry only empty tanks and that they must be packed in appropriate bags! The bags can only contain one ABC jacket, octopus, and a wetsuit. Do not take your dive weights!

Surfboards
Surfboards must be packed appropriately and include no more than one propulsion accessory, e.g. sails or parachutes.

Skis
Ski equipment must be packed in a bag with handles and sharp edges must be made safe.
