Safety Policy

The Safety policy of John Paul II Kraków-Balice International Airport Ltd.
With the aim of achieving a leading position among European regional airports, we provide the conditions for regional development as well as the satisfaction of customers, owners and employees. With our public utility duties, we’ve made a commitment to provide services which will ensure the functioning of the airport at the highest possible level of compliance with national and international safety standards. We consider the safety of all airport operations equally important to the commercial business of the company, which makes it a priority objective of our marketing and organisational strategy.
This overriding objective is being realised by:
1. Shaping a corporate culture of safety that promotes awareness and good attitudes to detecting, revealing and eliminating danger.
2. Implementing a uniform, pro-active and formally isolated system of safety management (SMS), which is based on the involvement of all the employees, utilisation of suitable organisational tools and constant monitoring of safety levels. Within the system, we determine safety indicators, permissible risk levels and safety management procedures.
3. Determining in detail the range of competences and responsibilities of the employees and officers within the realms of safety standards.
4. Organising a training system aimed at increasing qualifications and safety awareness among all employees of the airport.
5. Dispensing funds suitable for the realisation of undertakings aimed at increasing the overall level of safety.
The safety policy of the John Paul II Kraków-Balice International Airport Ltd. is updated depending on the results of activities undertaken and current trends in civil aviation safety.
