In March 2017, Kraków Airport handled 433,985 passengers, which is 20% more than in March 2016. Last month, the airport recorded 3,547 air operations (total departures and arrivals), i.e. 11% more than in March 2016.

2016/2017 winter season
The last weekend of March marked the end of the 2016/2017 winter season, which had lasted from the last weekend of October 2016. In that period, 1.93 million passengers passed through the airport, i.e. 22% more than in the previous winter season.

First quarter of 2017
The total number of passengers handled in the first quarter of 2017 was over 1.16 million, which translates into a 19% increase in relation to the year 2016.

New connections announced in March
Ryanair has announced new connections to Frankfurt and Lviv for the 2017/2018 winter season. Overall, this year’s offer contains 28 new destinations.
 
Airport Service Quality Awards 2016
Kraków Airport has received one of the most prestigious awards in the aviation industry, Airport Service Quality Awards 2016, from the Airport Council International. The airport was awarded the title of “Best Improved Airport in Europe” in the “Best Improvement by Region” category.

Kraków Airport is also among 180 companies presented in an annual report published by the Responsible Business Forum, entitled “Responsible Business in Poland. Good Practices”. This year’s release contains a record-breaking number of the airport’s activities, which is 7 distinguished practices in total. These were classified into three areas: Local community involvement and development, Labour practices, and Consumer issues.
