In February Kraków Airport handled 362,650 passengers, i.e. 17% more than last year. In the last month the airport recorded 2,997 airport operations, i.e. 10% more than in February 2016.
These promising results in the first months of the year can be attributed to strong interest in new destinations introduced in the ongoing winter season, such as connection to Geneva. In February the number of passengers rose by 10%, which means that already nearly 2,500 people fly to the Swiss “Peace Capital” each month.
Following the announcement of 15 new destinations for the winter season 2017/2018 by Ryanair—the main airline operating from Kraków Airport, for the first time in its history the airport can boast 100 connections to 4 continents.
