OCTOBER – EVENTS
2018/2019 WINTER SEASON
October marks the beginning of the 2018/2019 winter season. At Kraków Airport there are 20 carriers offering 100 regular direct flights #flyKRK to 27 different countries on 4 continents (Europe, Asia, North America and Africa). In the winter season we are adding 9 new flights: Transavia – Eindhoven (Holland); Laudamotion – Vienna (Austria), easyJet – London Luton (Great Britain); Ryanair – Amman (Jordan) as well as Kiev and Lviv (Ukraine); Jet2.com – Leeds Bradford (Great Britain); Blue Air – Turin (Italy); LOT – Tel Aviv (Israel). Passengers can also choose our new flights launched in the summer of 2018: flydubai to Dubai (United Arab Emirates); LOT to Budapest (Hungary) and Norwegian to Helsinki (Finland). For the first time we are keeping flights that were previously available only in the summer, i.e. Ryanair to Cyprus, and seasonal flights to Eilat (Israel) offered by Ryanair. NEW AMENITIES IN THE PASSENGER TERMINAL
Starting October, children together with their guardians can relax before departure in our new zone that offers various interactive activities to passengers flying from Kraków Airport #flyKRK. This brand new space located in the passenger terminal is much more than a traditional playground. It features an astronomy, space travel and future airport-themed play wall and a map of the disappearing world presenting (in a children-friendly manner) endangered species of animals and plants, along with examples of forbidden animal products covered by the CITES Convention.
