On the night between Saturday and Sunday (26 and 27 March), the airlines are starting to operate in accordance with the summer flight schedule. Passengers using Kraków Aiport can travel with 70 regular and 10 charter flights. The summer schedule will be valid until 29 October 2016.

The new destinations include Paris (Air France), Copenhagen (SAS), Madrid (Iberia), Milan (easyJet), Athens (Aegean), Manchester (Jet2.com) and Bristol (Ryanair). Additionally, the flights introduced in the 2015/2016 winter season, i.e. to Tenerife and Gran Canaria (Ryanair) and to Olsztyn (SprintAir), will remain in the schedule.
Compared to the previous summer season, the number of connections has increased by 9. The summer schedule will again include such holiday destinations as Málaga, Cagliari, Kos, Paphos, Palma de Mallorca, Pisa, Trapani (Ryanair), Rome (Alitalia), Stuttgart (Eurowings, formerly known as Germanwings), Barcelona (Vueling) and Gdańsk (PLL LOT).

The operators have increased the frequency of summer flights to 11 destinations. Remarkably, some airlines which introduced connections last year have increased the frequency of their flights in summer 2016. British Airways offer everyday flights to Heathrow Airport (London), while SWISS International Air Lines fly to Zurich every day and KLM have two flights to Amsterdam per day. Lufthansa have introduced an additional, fourth flight to Munich (every day except for Sundays).
In the summer of 2016, 21 airlines will be operating from Kraków Airport.

In summer months, travel agencies are offering holidays including flights from Kraków Airport to five countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, Turkey and Italy. As an alternative to Kraków Airport’s vast offer of regular flights, passengers can choose from ten charter destinations, including Antalya, Burgas, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion, Zakynthos and Rodos. Starting this summer, passengers flying from Kraków Airport can spend their holiday in Varna (Golden Sands, Bulgaria), Fuerteventura (Canary Islands, Spain) and Palermo (Sicily, Italy).

According to forecasts by Kraków Airport, by the end of 2016 the airport will have handled about 4.6 million passengers (excluding the World Youth Day-related traffic).
