Kraków Airport at Routes Forums

Routes Europe was held in Poland for the second time. In 2006 the event in Warsaw was attended by nearly 300 participants. Kraków Airport, on the other hand, has been attending both the European and global Routes conferences since 2006. In 2013 and 2014 the airport was awarded in the competition Routes Europe Marketing Awards. The forum in 2015 was particularly important for Kraków Airport, as it was then officially announced at the hosting handover ceremony in Aberdeen, Scotland that Kraków Airport would be hosting the next edition of the annual event. A brief account of Kraków Airport’s participation in Routes Europe 2015 in Aberdeen follows below.

Routes Europe 2016
23-26 April 2016, Kraków, Poland

The conference in Aberdeen lasted three days, during which Kraków Airport’s stand was visited by over 500 people. Undoubtedly, it was one of the most visited and most photographed stands. The delegates could taste some snacks typical of the Malopolska region, and were presented with small gifts. The concept of the stand referred to the characteristic shape of the body of the new passenger terminal - a prism. Through that prism the delegates could feel the atmosphere of Kraków and Malopolska, and watch a visualization of new airport infrastructure, then under construction.

During the Routes Europe 2016 hosting handover ceremony the county authorities of Aberdeen handed the Routes trophy to the President of the Board for Kraków Airport, Mr. Jan Pamuła and Member of the Board for the Małopolskie Province, Mr. Jacek Krupa.

As much as 65% of total exhibition space for the next edition of the forum to be held in Kraków was sold already at Routes Europe 2015 in Aberdeen. As admitted by the Organizer, the global company UBM (UK) Ltd specializing in the organization of such events, these have been the highest pre-sale figures in history. This firmly confirms the words of Kraków Airport President Jan Pamuła about Kraków Airport’s strong position on the European market.
