In December, 558,881 passengers chose Kraków Airport, which is 17% more than in December 2017.
This is the result of 4,216 flight operations, that is take-offs and landings, (+14% as compared to December 2017). In 2018, 6 769 369 passengers in total used the services offered by Kraków Airport. It means an increase by 934 thousand compared to 2017.
LOT airline announced the launch of a new domestic connection between Olsztyn and Kraków. An inaugural flight is scheduled for 25 April 2019. Flights will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, until 30 September 2019.
Ryanair announced that Kraków Airport will be the base for an additional, sixth plane starting from the SUMMER 2019 season and that it will launch 7 new connections, to Bari, Berlin Tegel, Catania, Copenhagen, Rimini, Thessaloniki and Zadar. Moreover, the carrier declared that it will increase the number of flights to Alicante, Brussels Charleroi, Kiev and London Stansted.
Kraków Airport introduced a new carrier, i.e. Blue Air airline. On 16 December 2018 Kraków Airport together with its passengers and the crew celebrated the inaugural flight from Turin. The carrier offers #flyKRK flights to Turin three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
