“We are happy, that WizzAir has decided to open its base at Kraków Airport” – said Radosław Włoszek, the President of the Board at Kraków Airport.

 

 

“WizzAir  will offer Kraków Airport passengers  18 new connections  to  interesting locations in Europe and around the world. We are convinced that our collaboration will benefit the further economic  growth of Kraków and Małopolska and will influence the job market in the region.” – said Radosław Włoszek, President of the Board at Kraków Airport.

 

Stephen Jones, Executive Vice president and Deputy CEO at Wizz Air, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the official opening of our new WIZZ base in Poland at Krakow Airport. This month marks an important milestone in our Polish operations. In addition to the opening of this new base we have started twelve new routes and are very excited about the further six to commence in August and September. The establishment of our local operations, its dynamic development, as well as today’s event highlight our commitment to Poland, our very first market where we started our operations 15 years ago. By September over 120 employees will be flying our passengers from Krakow to 18 destinations in 15 countries while creating jobs for more than 550 people in associated industries. We are convinced that our Polish passengers will appreciate the convenient flight schedules, the easy online booking system and the wide range of tailor made travel possibilities Wizz Air offers. Kraków Airport is the 25th base in the continuously growing WIZZ network. Wizz Air will allocate 3 Airbus A321 aircraft to Krakow in May, August and September 2019. WIZZ offers 18 low-fare new routes from Krakow to 15 countries. The three allocated aircraft will support the start of operations of new services from Krakow to the following popular destinations offering the possibility of truly memorable experiences: Bari, Billund, Birmingham, Catania, Doncaster, Eindhoven, Keflavík, Kharkiv, Kiev, Kutaisi, Larnaca, London, Nice, Oslo, Rome, Tel Aviv, Turin  and Turku.
