Checking-in oversized luggage
If you intend to carry any luggage exceeding the allowed dimensions, you must report the fact to the airline, preferably at the moment of booking! In this way you will also be able to obtain information on the conditions and fees that apply to its carriage.
What items qualify as odd-size baggage?
- Large: all items more than 100 cm long, 65 cm high and 75 cm wide
- Unusual shape: all items that can roll or have projecting/loose parts
- Fragile baggage
- Baggage that contains chemicals (please also check the list of prohibited items!)
Examples of odd-size baggage: skis, golf bags, surfboards, wheelchairs, bicycles, backpacks with loose or projecting parts, and musical instruments.
